2026 Update from Kiana: It’s been really rough for me for a while. I’ve been dealing with the sudden deaths of family members and friends, and also people I care about getting locked up, and my heart is really hurting. I’m trying to get to a place where I feel safe and stable enough to catch a break and focus on healing. I need funds for a lot of things, but mostly I use this Givebutter for gas, food, housing, and showing up for my kids. I still don’t have a place of my own—I’ve been moving around between friends’ and families’ places, and sometimes escaping to a hotel or airbnb when things get too triggering with family. I’ve had my addiction under control in the past and I believe I can get my life under control again, but I need help. I feel lost and broken. I appreciate all of you who give every month—knowing that some funds are definitely coming each month helps me plan better and also makes me feel less alone.

2022: Here are some words from Kiana: Hello my name is Kiana I am doing this to be able to get me and my fiance , and our children our own housing. We have three boys & one girl, plus I am caring for my two teenage brothers.  We are all from the Chippewa Cree reservation. I was raised by my grandparents due to losing my mother at the age of 1, but ever since I was 16 years old I was taking after myself and now I have my children to raise. The reason we are wanting out own home is so we arent having to be living from lease to lease & moving here and there. We want to be able to raise our children in a warm loving home and to have stable housing for them for the rest of our lives. Somewhere where they will be able to live after we leave this earth. Me and my husband have been homeless for the past few years, it has been very hard on us during this pandemic as well with just recent deaths in our family from COVID 19.  Anyone who would be willing to help get toward this may god wrap his arms around you and your family, and it will be greatly appreciated & all the funds will be put in a savings to be able to actually look for our own house this is very helpful, I have faith and hope we will be able to get this house we are very in need of, it is very fortunate of you all to be able to help us during our time of need.
