Hi! We’re the middle school students from Metro Deaf School! We’re super excited to tell you about a project we’re working on to help kids just like us who are going through really hard times.

We 8th graders are leading this project, but all of us in middle school are pitching in to make a difference for two amazing places: Brittany’s Place, a safe shelter for girls ages 10-19 who have been through really tough stuff like being trafficked or homeless, and The Bridge for Youth: Resilience House, which helps kids ages 10-17 who need a safe place to stay when they don’t have one. We’re kids helping kids, and we need your help, too!

How You Can Help!

We’re collecting items that these kids need, like:
• Deodorant
• Body wash
• Shampoo and conditioner
• Bath towels
• Personal female hygiene products
• Hair products (combs, brushes, hair grease, gel)
• Vaseline
• Body lotion

If you don’t have items to donate, that’s okay! You can give money instead. We’ll use the donations to:
1. Buy the items listed above.
2. Get materials to make handmade blankets that will keep the kids warm and show them someone cares.

Our Goal is big, but it is $1,000!

We’re trying to raise $1,000 to make this project a success. Any extra money will go straight to Brittany’s Place and The Bridge for Youth to help even more kids.

Either way, we’ll make sure they get to the right place!

We might not know exactly what it feels like to go through what these kids are facing, but we know how important it is to feel safe, cared for, and supported. That’s why we want to do everything we can to help!!!
