The Kiona Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on advancing research, advocacy, and education at the intersection of botanical medicine, endocannabinoid system science, and patient-centered care.
We were founded on a simple but urgent reality:
Current treatment pathways are often too toxic, too limited, and too slow to evolve for the patients and families who need them most.
Our work focuses on:
• Advancing novel botanical drug discovery
• Expanding research into the endocannabinoid system
• Supporting patients and families navigating complex diagnoses
• Building data-driven, integrative approaches to care
We are not only supporting individuals, but we are also building infrastructure for what comes next.
Today, the Kiona Foundation is entering a new phase.
With a research campus secured and final-stage approval underway for our New York cannabis research license, we are positioned to move from concept to execution at scale.
This marks a transition from:
research in theory → research in practice
support in isolation → systems of care
possibility → infrastructure
Every donation supports this next chapter.
