The rains are coming. Let's make every drop count.

In Isiolo County, Kenya, access to water can be a daily challenge, particularly for families living in communities farther from town. During dry periods, pastoralist families may travel long distances in search of water and pasture for their livestock. For people living with HIV, this can also make it harder to stay connected to health facilities and support groups.

When the rains come, capturing and storing rainwater can provide an important source of water closer to home.

Kiunga has already provided rain barrels to members of existing support groups who live in communities where they are needed. Now, we want to extend that support to 54 members of our three newest support groups.

Each of these 54 new members will receive a rain barrel and WaterGuard to help them collect and safely treat rainwater for drinking.

We also want to provide WaterGuard to existing support group members who already have rain barrels, so they can continue to safely use the water they collect.

Your gift will help us provide:

💧 54 rain barrels — $15 each
💧 300 bottles of WaterGuard — $1 each

A rain barrel gives a family a way to capture and store rainwater when it comes. WaterGuard helps make that collected water safer to drink.

Together, these simple tools can help families make better use of the rain and have a more reliable source of water during the dry periods that follow.

Let's make every drop count.
