Knit for Food Knit-a-thon is a 12 hour knitting marathon to raise funds and awareness for food insecurity. The money we raise will be equally divided between Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels.
In 2021 we, the knitters, raised $265,810!! In 2022 we raised $271,761!! That means knitters raised over half a million dollars with our knitting needles!! Can you even believe that?!
In a world full of excess and immediate gratification, there are still people who go to bed hungry. If me knitting for 12 hours gets you to donate some money to help make that reality fade to black, I’d do it everyday.
