Koinonia House Project
Across Klamath and Lake Counties, our community shows up when neighbors need help. Whether it's supporting families facing hardship, helping people rebuild after disaster, or ensuring that essential items reach those who need them most, we take care of each other.
Koinonia House is the next step in strengthening that support system.
This project will build two new facilities on the Klamath Falls Gospel Mission campus that will serve the entire Klamath Basin community:
• A new Thrift Store that will provide affordable clothing and household essentials to those in need while generating critical funding for programs that support individuals experiencing homelessness.
• A Disaster Relief Distribution Center that will serve as a centralized hub for collecting, organizing, and distributing emergency supplies when our region faces wildfires, severe weather, or other crises.
When disaster strikes or families face difficult times, communities often struggle with where donations should go and how supplies can be efficiently distributed. Koinonia House will solve that problem by creating a permanent, organized system for helping our neighbors quickly and effectively.
This facility will allow volunteers, agencies, and donors to work together more efficiently to meet real needs in real time.
The Koinonia House project is a collaboration between Klamath Falls Gospel Mission and Klamath Basin United Way, bringing together community partners who believe that when we work together, we can build stronger systems of support for everyone.
To bring this vision to life, we must raise $3.5 million to cover construction costs, required permits, and infrastructure needs necessary to safely build the facility—including traffic studies and site preparation.
This project is about more than buildings.
It is about creating a permanent resource for our community—one that helps people today and prepares us for tomorrow.
With your support, Koinonia House will become a place where generosity is organized, help is accessible, and our community's compassion turns into action.
Together, we can build something that will serve the Klamath Basin for decades to come.
