Back to school season isn’t just for kids in the U.S. — it’s for future pediatric nurses, doctors, and data analysts in Malawi too.

This fall, we’re raising $10,000 to support education for healthcare workers at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe. Every donation helps fund nursing, pediatric, and statistics students who are improving the lives of Malawi’s children.

Kids of Malawi – USA is run by mostly U.S.-based physicians and nurses who have either volunteered or worked at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in Malawi. We have seen firsthand the challenges faced by the staff on the children’s ward at KCH; we therefore founded KOM to improve the health care provided there by addressing the needs identified by our Malawian colleagues working there on the ground.
