The Kwanzaa Experience is a free community celebration honoring the seven principles of Kwanzaa — Unity (Umoja), Self-Determination (Kujichagulia), Collective Work & Responsibility (Ujima), Cooperative Economics (Ujamaa), Purpose (Nia), Creativity (Kuumba), and Faith (Imani).

This vibrant, family-friendly event features:

The Long Beach Kwanzaa Experience celebrates the joy, resilience, and unity of our community.
By bringing together youth, families, and local organizations, we create a space that uplifts the spirit of connection and honors our shared heritage.

This event is hosted in partnership with:
April Parker Foundation, City of Long Beach, Black Student Achievement Initiative (LBUSD), Agape Children’s Museum, and Earthlodge Center for Transformation.

Our goal is $10,000 to cover:

🎭 Cultural workshops and performers
🎨 Art mural and creative stations
🍎 Meals and refreshments for attendees
