Join the Kingstowne Communion and Franconia United Methodist Church this World Communion Sunday for our first "Love Your Neighbor" event this fall, as we gather at 10am for worship and then pack 15-20K nutrient-rich, easily-digestable meals together (at 41 cents per meal) across two packing time slots, including a community lunch in-between. Collaborate with hundreds of others to measure, pack, weigh, seal, and load 15-20K meals assembled of rice, beans, and nutritional supplement in an effort to combat worldwide hunger through Rise Against Hunger's community meal-packaging initiative. This event great for all ages; there is something for everyone to do. This event will cost Kingstowne ~$4,100 to co-host (41 cents per meal). In order to fund our Kingstowne portion of this incredible event, we are raising the money by matching dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000 any donations given on our Rise Against Hunger fundraising campaign page. Registration to participate in our Rise Against Hunger meal-packing event is required. The registration itself is FREE, though we do ask that you make a donation to the cause through our fundraising campaign page.
