We are Brooklyn parents, caregivers, and family members horrified at the Israeli government's deliberate starvation of the people of Gaza.

This week, we are participating in various ways in a solidarity fast, from going completely without food to giving up luxury goods like coffee and sweets.

This week we are cutting back and going without in order to raise awareness and to demand an immediate and unrestricted flow of aid into Gaza, and to raise money to get urgently needed food to Palestinian kids.

Every dollar that you donate will go directly to the Gaza Soup Kitchen, which has been working heroically to provide food, medicine and clean water in the Gaza Strip, even as that task becomes nearly impossible.

We are also attempting to galvanize other families and individuals not only to take action to save lives in Gaza, but to raise awareness and galvanize other families and individuals to take action. As parents, we know that every human life is precious. Bombing and starving an entire people is not self-defense - it is genocide.

As such we hope you will join us in demanding an immediate arms embargo on Israel, an immediate, unrestricted flow of aid into Gaza, and an end to the genocide.
