The past: Founded in 2004 by Dr. Vincenta Marquez and a group of Filipino physicians, the Hope Medical Dental Clinic (HMDC) began at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, DE. Their vision: deliver free, compassionate care to those who need it most. Dr. Marquez and her colleagues worked tirelessly to reach as many people in need as possible. They built a strong foundation that has served the community for over 20 years.

Today: We continue that mission with a focus on preventive, non-emergency care. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely entirely on the support of volunteers, donors, and our community—because we believe healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Services are provided completely free of cost. By utilizing a network of volunteer medical and dental providers, our patients are able to benefit from a wide range of services, including routine exams, prescription maintenance, STI testing, women's health, lab work and diagnostics, fillings, and extractions.

The future: HMDC's future is bright and our sights are set high! Behind the scenes, our board and staff are working hard to grow the organization and expand services offered all with the goal of maximizing our impact. Our services are rooted in compassion, dignity, and wellness.
