Help Us Get to the World Championships

Adaptive Warrior KC is raising funds to support travel, training, and competition expenses for adaptive athletes representing our community — and the nation — at the highest levels of sport.

This year, two standout athletes are leading the charge:

Brinley Hutson

Rookie & Next Gen Para World Championships — Cairo 2025

Brinley is a rising star in para athletics. At just 16, she’s been selected to represent the United States in Cairo, Egypt, at the 2025 Rookie & Next Gen Para World Championships. Her hard work, courage, and determination inspire young athletes everywhere.

Funds raised will help cover:

International travel to Egypt
Competition registration and lodging

Kate Hwang

Training & Travel to World Championships — New Delhi, India

Kate is a retired KCPD police officer, TBI survivor, and now an elite T36 para athlete. She is currently training in shot put, long jump, and 100m sprint, and recently took 1st place in her division at the Unbound Gravel race. She just returned from Para National Championships in Eugene, OR and took 1st in shot put, and 2nd in long jump and 100m.

Her mission is about more than medals — it’s about visibility, access, and empowering others with disabilities to pursue their own greatness through movement and strength.

Funds raised will support:

Travel to India for Track & Field World Championships
Training costs, coaching, and athlete wellness
Representation of adaptive athletes on the world stage

🫶 Why This Matters

These athletes aren’t just competitors — they are advocates, leaders, and change-makers. Your donation directly fuels:

Plane tickets, hotel rooms, and registration fees

Adaptive Warrior KC is a nonprofit, and all funds will go directly to supporting the athletes’ competition journeys.
