Making Space: A Campaign for Inclusive Care

Mental health care shouldn't be a luxury.

At the Diaspora Collective, we believe everyone deserves access to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and gender-affirming therapy—regardless of income, immigration status, or identity.

Too often, our communities—Black, Brown, immigrant, queer, trans, first-gen—are left navigating the impact of systemic trauma without support. Traditional therapy spaces were not built for us. They weren’t built to understand the grief of losing a language, the fear of deportation, the exhaustion of code-switching, or the pain of generational disconnection.

We’re changing that.

The Diaspora Collective is a nonprofit committed to breaking down barriers to care. We provide pro bono and sliding-scale therapy to those who are most often excluded. We also invest in training therapists from historically marginalized backgrounds—because healing is most powerful when it comes from people who understand your story without needing it explained.

This campaign is about building something sustainable. Your donation helps us:

  • Fund free and low-cost therapy for individuals and families

  • Train and support emerging therapists from underrepresented communities

  • Offer community workshops that center lived experience, resilience, and healing

Together, we can make sure care reaches those who’ve been told they’re too complex, too poor, too queer, too angry, too much.

We see their worth.
We invest in their healing.
We hope you will too.
