Story
Our season this year was a huge success, and we are so grateful to all of our supporters. We need to raise just a few thousand more dollars to pay the rest of our bills for the season--your contribution will help us wrap up the year in the black!
Help us raise $17,000 to support our 2022-2023 season! We've had a great start to the season, and with the real cold weather hitting we need to keep up the momentum. With your support, we can continue to keep the heat on and provide those experiencing homelessness with a warm and safe place to sleep.
WHO WE ARE
A Totally Volunteer Organization
The Malden Warming Center (MWC) seeks to serve those experiencing homelessness by providing safe shelter and warmth during the winter months, recognizing each person’s inherent dignity and unique circumstance. Volunteers are comprised of the City of Malden community as as well as members of two local churches.
The MWC is to be a temporary night center for those that are homeless. It is a safe place of warmth during the harshest winter months. The MWC welcomes people experiencing active substance abuse and offers safe storage (no search) of the individual’s belongings, a place of warmth, comfort, hot drinks and warm soup. As much as possible warm clothing will be available and the staff will work to connect individuals to additionally needed services including more permanent housing, substance use treatment, and/or health/mental health services.
