Family Fest is Lakeside Retreats' flagship community event — a completely free, family-centered day where neighbors gather in nature to play, connect, and celebrate together. Hosted each year on our property just 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh, it's a rare kind of gathering: wholesome, welcoming, and built around the simple joy of being together outside.

Families can participate in as much or as little as they like. The day centers around our pavilion and includes a food truck, bounce house for the kids, a children's drum circle, and fire spinners as the sun goes down — with plenty of green space to roam, picnic, or simply enjoy the land at your own pace.

Because Family Fest is free for every family who attends, we rely entirely on community donations to make it happen. Your contribution directly funds the performers, food, activities, equipment, and property care that bring this day to life — and helps keep it accessible to every family in the Triangle, regardless of budget.
