🌱 About Life Anew
Creating Space. Restoring Lives. Rebuilding Communities.
Since 2009, Life Anew has been a powerful force for transformation across Texas. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we’ve walked with individuals and families on their journey toward healing—using restorative justice practices to break cycles of harm and build bridges toward hope.
Our work goes beyond intervention—we equip communities to thrive.
From homes impacted by family violence to school campuses shaped by trauma, we’ve trained teachers, leaders, parents, and students to engage in intentional conversations that foster connection, repair relationships, and ignite lasting change.
In 2014, we were invited into public schools to bring restorative practices to the next generation. Since then, Life Anew Restorative Coordinators have helped transform campuses across the region—reducing suspensions, addressing conflict, and building cultures of belonging.
Our programs serve:
Survivors of family and intimate partner violence
Students and educators in under-resourced schools
Families facing housing instability and generational trauma
Communities seeking peace, healing, and opportunity
The truth is—we can’t do this alone.
Every breakthrough conversation, every restored family, every safer school is made possible through people like you who believe in healing and wholeness for every community.
Your donation directly fuels:
School-based restorative circles and training
Family support and intervention services
Trauma-informed care for youth and adults
Job creation and staff development
Expansion into new schools and neighborhoods
Whether you give $25 or $25,000, your gift matters.
It plants a seed of restoration that will ripple through classrooms, homes, and hearts.
Together, we can build a future where:
Harm doesn’t have the final word
Young people rise instead of fall through the cracks
Families experience healing, not more trauma
Peace is possible, even in the most broken places
Thank you for believing in our mission, and in the power of community transformation.
With gratitude,
Sherwynn and Kim Patton
