Ohana Surf Project's Foundation: Empowering Keiki Through the Ocean
The Ohana Surf Project's Foundation provides anyone but particularly keiki (children) and young women and men who lack safe access to the ocean with the opportunity to learn surfing, swimming, stand up paddling, and other ocean activities in the tradition of legendary Hawaiian beach boys.
But we're doing more than teaching ocean skills. We're creating the next generation of mentors.
What Makes Us Different: Every participant doesn't just learn, they teach. Kids who join our program help train the next group, building confidence, leadership, and a sense of purpose that goes far beyond the waves.
What Your Support Provides:
Surfboards, body boards, and ocean safety equipment
Professional instruction and mentorship
Transportation to and from the beach for kids who need it
Summer jobs and internships for program graduates
Educational endowment funds for participants pursuing higher education
Our Vision: Participants won't leave feeling they received charity. They'll emerge as confident ocean guides and mentors who have experienced the profound fulfillment of teaching others what they've learned.
Why Now: As a newly launched nonprofit, every dollar helps us get our first group of keiki into the water and onto their path as future mentors and beach leaders.
Join our ohana. Help us create waves of change.
