Max attends a specialized sleepaway camp in Vermont called Camp Akeela. Camp Akeela provides a supportive camp environment for neurodiverse kids. We are so grateful that programs like Akeela exist so that kids like Max can benefit from the incredibly impactful experiences that are uniquely provided at summer camp.

As valuable as these experiences are for neurodiverse kids, many families cannot afford to send their kids to these costly specialized programs.

CampLauncher provides scholarships ("camperships") to neurodiverse kids with financial need to attend specialized camp programs. They have provided more than 100 camperships in the last ten years and aim to expand their reach to many more families in need.

Akeela campers will be participating in a Launch-a-thon on July 4th to help raise money so CampLauncher can send more neurodiverse kids to camp.
