Bo’s journey was shaped by love, loss, and resilience. He first lost his original home due to a divorce—an upheaval that was no fault of his own. Thankfully, Bo was adopted into a wonderful home where he truly flourished. He spent his days basking in the sunshine, exploring his world, and enjoying leisurely walks that brought him so much joy.

 

After several happy years, Bo’s adopter was faced with an incredibly heartbreaking decision. A long-distance family move was unavoidable, and as Bo aged, his mobility began to decline. His adopter lovingly recognized that the stress and physical demands of the move would be more than Bo’s body could handle. Wanting what was best for him, she made the selfless choice to ensure Bo had the continued care and stability he needed.

 

Today, Bo is living his very best life as a cherished member of the Gentlemen’s Club. He still adores stretching out in the sun, soaking up warmth while letting his spicy personality shine. Bo is full of character—he loves belly scratches, enjoys attention on his terms, and never turns down a special treat.

 

As a senior pig, Bo lives with crippling arthritis that causes stiffness and lameness in his joints. To keep him comfortable, he follows a carefully managed regimen of joint supplements and medications designed to reduce inflammation and manage pain—treatments he has responded to beautifully. Recently, Bo will be starting a trial of in-hospital joint injections to address a regression in his mobility and help improve his comfort and movement.

 

Bo’s story is a testament to adapting with grace and ensuring dignity through every stage of life. Surrounded by care, comfort, and companionship, Bo now enjoys each sunny day knowing he is safe, supported, and deeply loved.
