Legacies Live On Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit which helps young adults (18+) who are grieving work through their loss and honor their loved one’s legacy with purpose by providing a network of support, educational resources, community outreach opportunities and financial assistance. The nonprofit is based in New York, NY.

Legacies Live On was created after our founder Victoria Ifan's father unfortunately passed away from brain cancer in September 2018. When it happened, grief struck her hard, and she felt an immense feeling of isolation and sadness, as well as a longing to honor his memory and somehow carry his legacy forward. So, she decided to create Legacies Live On with that specific mission in mind - a safe space and community for young adults who are grieving to give back and live out their purpose.

Over the last few years, we've hosted two Wellness Summits to create a safe space and build community for young adults impacted by grief. At our summits, we’ve had experts across the mental health and wellness space lead activities like yoga, reiki, painting, journaling, stress management coaching, sound bath and more, with a goal of helping attendees find practical tools and resources to support their mind, body and soul during their grief journeys.

We hosted our Legacies Live On Holiday Fundraiser in December to raise enough funds so we can continue our mission in 2025 and beyond. Our goals are to: 1) host our Wellness Summits twice a year vs. once a year; 2) extend our care package program to reach 30 young adults impacted by grief; 3) grow our community outreach by partnering with more like-minded organizations in NYC; and 4) begin our financial assistance program.
