Help Us Give These Dogs a Second Chance at Life

Five dogs. One rescue mission. A chance to change their lives forever.

On the evening of October 22, 2026, Many Paws Global Rescue, based in Palatine, Illinois, received a call asking us to help save dogs from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Lemont, Illinois.

According to local news reports, one person was taken into custody as authorities began removing dogs from the property. Cook County Animal Control, the Cook County Sheriff's Police Animal Cruelty Unit, and animal control agencies from surrounding communities were assisting with the investigation and the removal of the animals.

Behind every headline is an animal who deserves a chance to live a better life.

These dogs now face an uncertain future, and they need rescue organizations willing to step up, provide care, and help them begin healing.

Our Commitment: Saving Lives, One Dog at a Time

Many Paws Global Rescue has committed to saving FIVE dogs in the first wave of releases from this situation.

The dogs are expected to be released in waves. We are awaiting information about the next group before determining how many additional dogs we can take into our care.

We want to help as many of these dogs as possible, but every commitment requires the resources to provide proper veterinary treatment, safe housing, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.

We cannot do this alone. We need our community behind us.

These Dogs Need More Than Rescue

Getting these dogs out of the situation is only the first step.

They may need comprehensive veterinary examinations, diagnostic testing, medications, vaccinations, parasite treatment, and other medical services based on their individual conditions. Some may also require specialized nutrition, behavioral support, and time to learn that people can be trusted.

We cannot know the full extent of their needs until the dogs are evaluated. What we do know is that they deserve the opportunity to heal, recover, and discover what a loving home feels like.

Every dog deserves a soft place to sleep, a full belly, gentle hands, and a person who will never give up on them.

Where Your Donation Will Go

Your generosity will help Many Paws Global Rescue provide the care these dogs need, including:

Veterinary care: Medical examinations, diagnostic testing, medications, and necessary treatments.

Safe shelter and supplies: Bedding, crates, cleaning supplies, and other essentials while they recover.
