Nick & Alicia's first child, Neville Nicholas, was stillborn May 25, 2013, at 36 weeks gestation, likely from a small placenta. As a way to honor and remember Neville, we are participating in the Let's Not Be Still! Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Run/Walk on September 25th to help raise money for Star Legacy Foundation—a wonderful non-profit organization dedicated to stillbirth research and education.
One in 200 pregnancies in the United States ends in stillbirth, yet it
remains a silent and grossly under-researched topic. Any donation of any
amount will help Star Legacy Foundation spread awareness and fund
research, with the ultimate goal of ensuring fewer families leave the
hospital empty-handed, as we did.
