After years of being a nomadic theatre company, Plethos Productions is embarking on an exciting journey to build a permanent home for the Plethos Fam. Together, let's raise the curtain on a new chapter for Plethos Productions and the entire East Bay. We started in 2017 with a $6k Indiegogo campaign and turned that into 6 seasons of shows. Our theatre major math says if we raise $150k we can turn that into 150 seasons of shows.

THE SPACE

For years, we at Plethos Productions have been dreaming of creating a dedicated space in downtown Hayward where on any given night of the week you could breeze in, grab a table at a full restaurant and bar while there's an open mic lineup of singers, comedians and more performing on a nearby small stage. Behind double doors there is a beautiful mainstage theatre where fully produced plays, musicals and more take the stage. During the day there are spaces for private music, voice and dance lessons. At night there are spaces for rehearsals, a recording studio and even spaces for private parties on weekends. We're envisioning a performing arts hub unlike anything else in the East Bay and our years of partnerships with organizations like MAD Creationz Catering, Smalltown Society and more mean this dream is not far at all out of reach.

THE PLAN

In 2024 we are raising $150,000 which, when combined with city grants that are earmarked for live performing arts should get us into our new dedicated space in 2025. The flagship fundraiser that we believe will help us get there is a new event that has taken off like a rocket called:

CAMP MONOLOGA

Camp Monologa will be an overnight camping retreat that will take place Friday-Sunday July 26-28, 2024 at Heirloom East Bay in Castro Valley. Think Comic Con for theatre nerds. Current sponsors include Drake's Barrel House and Redwood City Players.

Camp Monologa will be a whimsical, fun, and nostalgic camp with dreamy 90s vibes for the theatre kid at heart, but with the sophistication and theatre magic that professional adults would expect.

It's going to be show tunes by the fireside, champagne reception, hands-on performing arts workshops, swimming hole, hiking, yoga, farm animals, sweeping views - it's going to be A TIME.

We have a whole lineup of major Bay Area Directors like John Maio, Salim Razawi, Kimberly Ridgeway and more. Theatre makers representing dozens of Bay Area theatres will be teaching valuable lessons every performer should know. Plus The bay's favorite theatre podcast - The Yay will be hosting a live episode taping, plus gourmet kid-camp inspired food by Mad Creationz served at the Mess Hall, a swimming hole, wine and paint night, plus and so much more!

BE A CAMPER: Support the cause and join the Camp Monologa fun while by participating as a day or overnight camper. Register now!
BE A VENDOR: Support the cause as a vendor at Camp Monologa. If you would like to set up a table, booth, or fun activity for campers to showcase you or your company, we're happy to have you join the fun! We just ask that 10% of any revenue brought in by vending at camp go to the "Building a Home for the Plethos Fam" fund, or a donation of $250 or more will allow you to participate as a non-vending exhibitor.
