The Making Place is a volunteer founded and run non profit. This project started in October of 2023 with a public interest survey. 

Today, The Making Place has fulfilled all three initial services they set out to create. Located in Columbia Falls at 619 Nucleus Ave above Uptown Hearth, their community workspace, tool library and events make it easier for people to create, learn and share together.

TMP wants to provide a "third space" in the community where people can connect and hangout. The longterm vision is to grow into a large workshop that meets the wants and needs of the creative community.

For community members, The Making Place is a space to learn new skills, access creative resources, attend events, shop local art and support the creative community. For makers, The Making Place is a space to practice your craft, teach workshops, share skills, check out tools and build up the creative community.
