Meet Keshia:

Keshia is a vibrant member of the Richmond community known for her photography of events and social justice movements. She has spent years behind the camera capturing life for others. Now, she’s facing a life-altering health battle of her own.

After years of debilitating symptoms causing her to leave her job in IT - dizziness, tremors, fainting, and severe neck pain - Keshia was diagnosed with Chiari malformation, a condition where the brain presses into the spinal canal. In 2024, she underwent major brain surgery, but her symptoms have continued. Her vision has worsened, she’s suffered a concussion from a fall, experienced overheating episodes, and was recently diagnosed with high pressure in her brain.

She needs time to rest and pursue further testing, but the stress of paying rent makes that nearly impossible.

Our goal is to raise 2 MONTHS RENT so she can focus on healing.
