Marhaba / Hola Mi Gente!

Liberación Collective is a series with the goal to educate, draw the parallels amongst different global issues and find connective tissue amongst marginalized communities that through my NGO – Travel With Purpose – I launched in April of 2025.

The next campaign we are doing is Liberación Collective: Cuba & Palestine. This one is deeply personal to me as my father is Cuban and my mother is Palestinian. Both sides of my family were displaced, on both sides we had political prisoners, and both sides experience the pain of never being able to return to their homelands.

Funds raised will be directed to an Afro-Cuban farming collective located in the outskirts of La Habana whose name we must keep private for security reasons. The other part of the proceeds will be directed to Palestinian women living in the Al- Sukhneh refugee camp in Jordan who would like to pursue a college degree and/or start a business. Travel With Purpose’s owner, Loren Medina Jassir, will be personally traveling to Cuba in June to help expand the farm and deliver the funds and materials they need.

As most of you know, I’ve had my NGO since 2014 and have always donated 100% of all proceeds. I publish my bank statements after every campaign, so everyone knows exactly how funds were distributed. I don’t make a dollar from this; this has always been my passion project. Thank you for riding with me for over a decade! Help us meet our goal, no amount is a small amount!
