libraryCreate Amazon Rainforest Center

Hi! At libraryCreate, we build tech and learning centers around the world to support literacy in frontier regions of the world where people don't have access to books or internet. As of today, we have build 2 proof of concept nodes in India (200+ active students) & secured a grant from Menlo Ventures and SVCF. We are currently fundraising for a third node in the Amazon Rainforest in partnership with Campus B (Brazilian partner) to prove our model works across different countries and cultures.

Launching our first LibraryCreate center in the Amazon region requires both infrastructure setup and regional deployment costs. Because this is a remote river community near Manaus that is only accessible by boat, additional groundwork and logistics are necessary to ensure the center operates reliably and can serve neighboring villages.

We need funding for:

1. Groundwork, travel, and deployment preparation - $10,000

This includes travel for our team to scope the village, coordinate with our local partner Campus B, and oversee early-stage deployment

2. Building construction - $10,000

While basic structures in the region can be built for approximately $5,000, we are investing in a more durable, modern structure designed to withstand environmental conditions, provide reliable electricity and ventilation, and support long-term educational and workforce programs.

3. Technology, books, and connectivity - $10,000

Student devices (tablets & laptops), Networking equipment & installation, Starlink hardware + initial service costs, Books & learning materials, Backup power + environmental protection equipment

Together, this $30,000 launch budget allows us to establish this learning center and help the villagers in the rainforest!
