At The Tree of Life, we walk alongside courageous single mothers and their children as they rebuild their lives in the face of immense challenges—many fleeing violence, navigating broken systems, or starting over with nothing but courage and the clothes on their backs.

Right now, we’re raising critical funds to:

Cover lawyer fees for moms seeking safety and legal stability.
Sponsor the children of the single moms in our program for enriching, joy-filled summer camps that offer healing, community, and a chance to just be kids instead of carrying and seeing more of the day to day struggles that are already all too familiar.

These are not just bills or fees—they are lifelines. Behind each one is a story of survival, strength, and the hope for a better future.

Just some of the stories are shared below (Due to the sensitive nature, and open and ongoing cases of these moms, we have adjusted the names for their protection). Your donation can be the pivotal turning point in their lives.

Amina's Trap

Amina, a single mother of 4, is doing all she can to sever ties from her soon to be ex husband in a multitude of ways. While they have been separated for a number of years, he has refused to divorce her despite multiple attempts from Amina. He has evaded being served and continues to disparage and slander her publicly and otherwise. Without proper legal representation that is well versed in these matters, she risks losing her children—not because she’s unfit, but because she’s not able to make ends meet effectively, and is unsupported legally. The Tree of Life is helping Amina secure a compassionate attorney as she develops the strength, healing, and community she needs in our current program. Your support can make the difference between another family that is suffering in silence vs. a family that breaks these abusive and oppressive cycles to gain the needed hope and resources to move forward in strength.

Summer Should Be for Smiles (Summer Camp Sponsorship)

David is 8 years old. He’s bright, funny, and carrying more trauma than most adults. His mom is rebuilding their life after escaping abuse. This summer, a week at camp could give David something he hasn’t had in a long time: a chance to be a kid. Your donation can send David—and many other children and teens like him—to a camp where they can make friends, laugh, eat, and just be free.

Each week long camp ranges from $200 per child (grades 2nd - 5th)

For ages 9-15 there is an opportunity to be part of an entrepreneur & leadership academy camp which is $250 per child (includes lunch and trips)

Each donation sponsors a child for a week depending on the selected camp. We selected Christ Fellowship Kids camp & The Kid-preneur Leadership academy in Boynton Beach for the camp rates above. Additional camps and collaborative community partners may be utilized for these sponsorships as availability and variable age ranges are considered.
