One year ago, Sleepy Hollow Cinema began with a group of neighbors who wanted a place where our community could gather, connect, and experience the power of film together. The response has been overwhelming — and now it's time to prove this village wants it built.

We are poised to secure the ground floor of the revitalized Strand Theater — a landmark in the heart of Beekman Avenue — for a world-class, 120-seat cinema open to tourists and locals alike by 2028. The Strand's project sponsor is on board. Architectural first drafts are complete. The total cost is estimated at $1,000,000 — about the price of a single-family home in our community.

Our team is deep in hosting screenings, building support across the Rivertowns, and grant applications. But we've hit our first major test: we must raise $200,000 in seed funding by August to secure our lease. Without it, this opportunity disappears.
