Little Free Food Pantries

Pickens County Family Connection's most visible and impactful initiatives is the Little Free Food Pantries—small outdoor cabinets placed throughout the county, open 24/7, and accessible to anyone in need. These pantries are stocked regularly with nonperishable food and basic resources and are used daily by families facing food insecurity.

How Your Donation Helps

Your tax-deductible gift will be used to purchase essential shelf-stable items such as:

• Pasta and rice

• Canned vegetables and proteins

• Peanut butter

• Shelf-stable milk

• Kid-friendly snacks and more

We also include educational resources to support long-term family wellbeing.

Why It Matters

Poverty is complex, and we know that canned goods alone won’t solve it. But access to food—when and where it’s needed—can ease a family’s burden and show that their community cares. These pantries are a small but powerful way to meet an urgent need with dignity and consistency.
