About Lazy J Rescue Ranch:
Lazy J Rescue Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue/sanctuary in Goldfield, IA. Our rescue is dedicated to providing a forever home for all animals with chronic illnesses, varying medical needs, and for those who have been abused, neglected, or forced to feel unloved. As a sanctuary, all animals who are surrendered to us or rescued by us will live out their natural lives here at the ranch where they can heal both socially and physically from the abuse, neglect, abandonment, and poor living conditions that many of them have experienced. Lazy J Rescue Ranch is currently the home to 45 animals including pigs, goats, sheep, a llama, cows, chickens, ducks, guineafowl, peafowl, an ostrich, a rabbit, tortoises, dogs, and cats. Here at the ranch these rescued animals are given a second chance at life where they are treated as individuals, each with their own name, are allowed to portray their own unique personalities, are given the respect and care they deserve, get to socialize with other rescued animals, and have the opportunity to learn that humans are kind and compassionate.

In addition to providing a healing environment for rescued animals, Lazy J Rescue Ranch also provides education to the community regarding animal welfare, as well as encourages positive animal interactions to promote well-being throughout the community via school field trips, community events, nursing home visits, and more!
