We’re raising $1211 to cover the cost of eye removal surgery for Blondie, a kitten we rescued from the streets of West New York, NJ.

Our volunteer-run group of cat lovers works tirelessly to TNR (trap, neuter, return) feral and stray cats. While the town generously covers spay/neuter and vaccines, many cats and kittens we encounter need critical medical care that exceeds those basic services.

Blondie was one of them. Found during a TNR effort, she had an infected eye, and was trapped and spayed, however we decided to hold onto her to try and save it. One of our volunteers diligently applied ointment and drops multiple times a day, following our vet’s hope that the eye could heal. Sadly, the infection worsened, becoming more and more swollen causing her immense pain, and surgery became necessary.

Fortunately, Blondie was big enough for the procedure, and it was a success! Thank you endlessly to Sheltering vets for helping volunteers care for these cats.

Now we need your help to pay off the vet bill so we can keep at our TNR efforts to reduce suffering among outdoor cats in our community.
