On December 29, 2022, 15-year-old Zy’kiquiro Lofton (#LLZy) was tragically killed in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since that time, his family has continued navigating profound grief, trauma, and ongoing systemic challenges that have deeply impacted their stability and daily life.

This campaign is centered on providing direct support to the family as they work toward housing stability and relocation. Our goal is to raise $7,000 to cover six months of rent and essential moving expenses, giving the family a safer and more stable foundation during an ongoing healing process.

This effort is directly connected to the community documentary project Broken Systems, Lost Sons and the public event Rewrite the Story, which use film, art, and storytelling to highlight the long-term impact of violence, incarceration, and loss on families and communities.

While storytelling helps bring awareness, this fundraiser is focused on immediate, tangible support for the family behind the story.

All funds raised will go directly toward housing and relocation needs through Hope Dealers, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
