Going to Seed provides customizable, crop specific seed-saving resources designed for seed libraries and their patrons interested in increasing the supply of local seeds, and develop their own locally resilient crops.

The seeds we provide have more diversity than average (heirlooms were allowed to cross-pollinate in previous generations) to provide the greatest opportunity for selecting vigorous plants under your local growing conditions, as well as reducing the barriers for gardener seed savers (there are fewer requirements for isolation). We teach people to celebrate community seeds, flavor, and diversity over uniformity.

Each Kit includes:

30 packets of genetically diverse seeds of your chosen crop
Customizable, digital zine template with growing and seed-saving instructions. (You will need to print and assemble the zines, we provide instructions)

3. Make a donation (optional and very appreciated, link in upper right corner of this page). $20 covers our cost of materials and shipping per choice of seeds.

4. You'll get an email with a download link and instructions for customizing and printing your zines.

5. Send us a link to your zine! We'll add it to our library as an example.

5. We'll send you seeds. (Because we have a limited amount, we'll only be mailing seeds to the seed libraries that have created the printed materials).
