Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is a no-kill animal shelter based in Tempe, AZ that helps people AND pets in crisis with our life-saving rescue and adoption, temporary care, pet food bank, and first responders programs 💪

Since 2008 Lost Our Home has:

Helped over 37,000 pets and over 22,000 people in a time of crisis
Adopted more than 11,000 pets
Provided 135,000+ nights of safe shelter to pets whose owners were in crisis through our Temporary Care Program
Provided over 1.1 million nutritional meals to hungry pets through our Pet-Food Bank Program.
Specialized in helping domestic violence victims with their pets and has valued partnerships with several domestic violence shelters to serve victims and their pets.
Partnered with Tempe First Responders to provide 24/7 access to the shelter for first responders on duty when they have a situation involving a pet that needs a safe place to go

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue's Programs that this event supports:

Rescue & Adoption Program for owner-surrendered, abandoned pets, and homeless pets
Pet Food Bank Program for those struggling to feed their pets.
Temporary Care Program for pets in need of up to 120 days of shelter, medical care, food, and enrichment due to pet parents experiencing a crisis such as domestic violence, homelessness, foreclosure, eviction, medical needs (physical or mental health requiring stays in hospital or rehabilitation facilities), house fires, and other life challenges.
Our Tempe First Responders Program that provides 24/7 access to the shelter for first responders on duty when they have a situation involving a pet that needs a safe place to go.

Awarded Tempe Chamber of Commerce's Nonprofit of the Year
Won Best Pet Rescue of the Valley from Phoenix Magazine
1 of only 50 rescues nationwide awarded a $5K grant from Miranda Lambert's non-profit organization, MuttNation
1 of just 100 rescues in 32 states and Nepal to be awarded a generous $10,000 grant by The Grey Muzzle Organization to help save our senior dogs!

Lost Our Home’s mission is to help people and pets in crisis. We are dedicated to bridging the care gap between people who find themselves in crisis and the pets who often have no place to go during these challenging circumstances. For over 16 years, we have focused on finding homes for abandoned or orphaned pets and helping pet parents in need during times of crisis. We're a place where pet families facing hardships such as domestic violence, homelessness, financial strain, illnesses, or in-patient care, are treated with caring compassion by dedicated pet professionals, in a warm and loving environment. We envision a world in which all pets have loving homes and are treated with dignity & respect.
