Local news needs your support
Since the county health director’s first warning that the community should brace for a wave of virus infections more than a month ago, Loudoun Now’s team of reporters have been on the front lines to cover the pandemic. Stories have focused on the impacts to the health infrastructure, the devastating hit to local businesses and employees and the critical efforts to provide support to our neighbors in need. That important work continues, even as the newspaper’s major source of revenue—advertising for our now suffering businesses—has fallen sharply.
before the pandemic began, it had become clear that reader support must
play a bigger
role in community news organizations—in every community. Although it
works against our mission to put up paywalls or otherwise restrict
access to the stories and information our team works to share every day.
Your support helps us continue to make a difference.
