"A Life of Love"

Lou Dennig: December 07, 1955--January 28, 2026

A Life built on three principles:

Someone to Love, He found that in Mari, together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, family and gratitude.

A Purpose: That was Purposeful Painting, Mari was a single mom whose journey inspired Purposeful Painting.Lou believed every life should make a difference. That purpose became Purposeful Painting--a 501(c)(3) with a mission dedicated to "Assisting the Single Working Mom."

A Goal: Mastering the Art of the Perfect Smoked Old Fashioned, He loved the journey of perfecting it. He experimented, refined, shared and mastered it. Like everything Lou did, it was about bringing people together, sharing great food, telling funny jokes and making memories that would last a lifetime.

Today Lou's Legacy lives on in...every volunteer, every donor, every artist who shares their gifts, every single mom who discovers she is not alone and every child whose future is made a little brighter because someone cared.

That is Lou's Legacy. Not measured in dollars, but in kindness, in lives forever changed.

More than $150, 000 has been given through Purposeful Painting to support working moms and their families.
