Our beloved Lucas, a vibrant orange and white tabby, just turned 2 years old on March 29th. But instead of celebrating with treats and toys, we received a heartbreaking diagnosis: Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).

FIP is a devastating disease with limited treatment options. However, recent breakthroughs offer a glimmer of hope. Lucas has a chance to fight back with a course of injections lasting 84 days, unfortunately at a significant cost.

We're reaching out to our amazing community for help. Every dollar raised will go directly towards Lucas's FIP treatment, giving him a fighting chance at a long and healthy life.

Here's why Lucas deserves a second chance:

A Purr-fect Personality: Lucas is a playful and affectionate cat who brings endless joy to our lives. He loves chasing feathery toys, sprawling out in sunbeams, and cuddling on the couch.
A Fighter at Heart: Despite his diagnosis, Lucas is full of spirit but he feels so bad he is unable to groom or eat much right now.
He's Still Young: At only 2 years old, Lucas has a whole lifetime of love and adventures ahead of him.

We are an all volunteer organization that cares for approximately 600 cats every year. We are a non-profit organization with a 501 (c) (3) designation.

Since January 1995, Save Our Strays has medically assisted and adopted out over 10,000 cats and kittens. This has been possible through the many volunteers who give their time and love to care for these animals and to the generous contributors whose donations go directly to the medical treatment and care of the animals.
