For 16 years, Homeland residents have participated in a shared holiday tradition where, at dusk, we walk out of our homes with our luminaria kits and stagger the folded white bags along the sidewalks in front. We then add a scoop of sand, set a candle, and light them. These twinkling and glowing kits, mirroring the starry sky above, guide residents and visitors alike to the Lakes, where the community congregates for carols on Christmas Eve.

NEW THIS YEAR! The Foundation is adding the Saint Albans Way ellipse to its Luminaria tradition. Your support has allowed us to expand this fundraiser. If we knock it out of the park this year, we can go bigger next year and aim to light up the entire neighborhood!

Luminaria kit sales support the Homeland Community Foundation’s mission to restore and further the beautification efforts of our shared park spaces, like the newly planted garden around the Saint Dunstans Road spring house and the 2024 street tree restoration project.
