Luz Latina Fund

The Luz Latina Fund is an initiative guided by and for our Latino community members. Established by the Board of Directors in 2024, the fund empowers and supports our Latino friends and neighbors countywide.

Your gift supports priorities set by Latino advisors from across Mendocino County. By contributing to this Fund, you join a community of passionate donors working together to realize the priority areas as identified by Latino community members, by focusing on:

Supporting Responsive Action: Provide vital resources to address the most pressing and emergent challenges facing our Latino neighbors—so families are safer in the face of urgent issues.
Encouraging Entrepreneurship: Multiply impact with micro-grants, business coaching, and financial literacy that help local entrepreneurs launch and stabilize businesses—circulating dollars locally and building opportunity.
Empowering Youth: Grow college and career readiness through scholarships, mentorships, and vocational pathways so Latino youth can thrive in hometown jobs and beyond.

The charitable purpose of the fund is to make grants in Mendocino County that are led by and/or have a direct and positive impact on Latino community members and communities.
