Coffee shops are a gathering place, an oasis in the community where comfort is found. Each has their own vibe, their own style, and their own versions of classic coffee drinks.

How many times have you walked into your favorite local coffee shop to meet a friend, ordered a latte, sat at a table, and talked for hours? It is a gift to have someone who listens and understands, who knows your story, and knows your struggles.

People suffering from Lyme don’t always have someone who understands what life with Lyme is like. Lyme is so much more than a swollen joint, fatigue and a course of antibiotics. For many, it is a life-altering disease with no easy solution. It is not covered by insurance and few doctors treat it. The average patient can pay $50,000 out of pocket annually trying to regain their health.

No one should go through Lyme alone, so we created monthly meet ups which we hold at locally owned coffee shops across Connecticut. Every month, people gather together and talk about life and life with Lyme. There is laughter and there are tears. Resources are shared. Friendships are made. Life with Lyme becomes a little easier and the burden is a little lighter.

Each shop has created a unique specialty drink for the month of May, Lyme Awareness Month. The profits from the drinks will be donated to Partner in Lyme funding our financial assistance gifts to Lyme patients. When you support them, they support us!

About Us

The Snajder family founded Partner in Lyme in 2020. Their daughter was diagnosed with chronic Lyme after 2 years of searching for answers for her strange symptoms which left her unable to drive, attend college, and at times, walk. After talking with other parents of kids with Lyme, they knew that no person should feel alone if they have Lyme, or are caring for someone with Lyme. When they gave their daughter's wheelchair to another child in need, the idea of "partner" was born. During a converstion with other patients, it was said that if people only had $1,000 they could invest in more testing, or treatment, or therapies that help manage symptoms.

Partner in Lyme is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that exists to carry the burden of Lyme by providing financial assistance in the amount of $1000 gifts to residents of Connecticut diagnosed with tick borne disease. We aim to provide extra money help an individual heal in body, mind & spirit.
