In 2013, at just 21 years old and pregnant with her first daughter, Shaurlecien Lockhart faced one of the most difficult seasons of her life. With nowhere to go, she was forced into homelessness and had to seek shelter an hour away from her family. The maternity shelter she entered provided so much more than what she had during such a vulnerable time.

Her journey from hardship to healing is not just inspiring, it's transformational. What once broke her has become her reason to build. She's ready to help other women write new beginnings for themselves and their children, and now she's on a mission to be the safe place for others that she once needed herself.

Every missing piece from her own experience has become a building block for this new haven. Where she once lacked, she now plans to provide in abundance.

Today, she stands as a believer, wife, mother, and business owner.

This is the heart behind His Daughters' Safe Place, a newly recognized 501(c)(3) organization building a 24 month transitional home for pregnant women facing housing instability in Delaware. Our residents will receive not just a place to stay, but real support: parenting classes, financial literacy training, trauma informed counseling, and a faith centered community that walks with them through one of the hardest and most hopeful seasons of their lives.

We are now tax exempt, which means every gift you give is fully tax deductible, and every dollar brings us closer to opening our doors.

Here's how your gift helps:
- Secures a safe, stable home for mothers and their children
- Funds life skills classes that help mothers build lasting stability
- Provides trauma informed support so healing can truly begin
- Helps us grow toward welcoming our very first residents

We are just getting started, and we cannot do this without you. Thank you for standing with us.
