As many are aware, one of our own, Joey Smiles, passed away on Monday, April 22nd. We are so thankful for the beautiful tribute that was done by Western PA this past weekend. Among many other wonderful characteristics about Joey, he was a dedicated advocate. He is missed and will be a part of us as we move forward in our advocacy efforts and initiatives in addition to serving our missions.

We are offering the opportunity for people to donate In Memory of Joey Smiles. Donations will go towards the Western and Eastern Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Advocacy Efforts, and to the Penn State Health Hemophilia Treatment Center of Central Pennsylvania.

Opportunities to honor Joey in the next few months will be at our Harrisburg Days May 6-7, and our Annual Meetings in the summer.

We keep Joey's family and friends in our thoughts and prayers. They will always remain a part of our Bleeding Disorders community. They are aware of what has been done to honor Joey, and what will continue to be done. He will always be in our hearts.
