Andy Buerger created Climb for Hope to honor his sister who passed away from breast cancer. For those of you who know me, our family has dealt with cancer struggles the majority of my life. Strong women have battled this horrible disease and I want to honor and celebrate them. I decided to join this incredible organization and climb Mt. Adams this summer to raise money for breast cancer research. The challenge of summiting a big mountain is an apt metaphor for the struggles endured by women affected by breast cancer. Please not only help me reach my goal, help raise necessary funds to to help find a cure.
