How do you define Art?

When asked this question, the first thing that comes to mind may be a beautiful painting that catches your eye as you walk past or an orchestra performing a masterfully conducted symphony in front of a cheering crowd. Those are two great examples, however, Art is so much more than just creating something beautiful for people to enjoy. It is an international language that brings people together and allows one to express themselves creatively.

For our youth, the importance of Art cannot be understated. In addition to being a fun activity that releases pent up energy, Art is also an integral part of a child's cognitive development. It paves the road for students to be successful by encouraging them to think outside the box and teaches them many of the foundational skills used in all areas of study.

Sadly, some question whether the arts are necessary or justified when it comes to school curriculum. This has resulted in Fine Arts programs across the nation not receiving adequate funding, leaving teachers to foot the bill for basic supplies.

We started the MAG Foundation with the goal of solving this problem. Our online donation platform at https://www.mag.foundation was designed to be easy for anyone to use and request supplies. In addition to that, our online auction platform, Rose's Auction Corner, gives anyone the opportunity to bid on a variety of prizes with all proceeds going to our charitable cause.

It is our belief that the arts have never been more important to our society and should be fully integrated into our lives, our community and education in general. With your help, we aim to ensure that the Arts continue to thrive, and that future generations continue to have access to these programs. If you are a teacher and would like to receive supplies or if you are looking to donate to our cause, visit us at https://www.mag.foundation today.
