Magic Mentor: Where STEAM and Magic Intersect
About This Campaign
Imagine a classroom where science feels like sorcery — where students learn physics through floating wands, engineering through balancing illusions, and math through mind-reading tricks.
That’s the world of Magic Mentor, a groundbreaking program by The House of MAGIC Foundation for the Arts, where we teach STEAM principles — Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math — through the wonder of magic.
Our goal is to make learning engaging, creative, and inclusive by combining the discipline of science with the imagination of art.
What We’re Creating
With your help, we’ll complete the writing and production of the Magic Mentor Curriculum, including:
-
A full Teacher’s Handbook with detailed lesson plans
-
Student Study Guides that blend magic tricks with real STEAM learning
-
Training and demonstration videos for educators and mentors
-
Hands-on classroom kits to provide to underserved schools and after-school programs
This curriculum is designed to give educators a complete toolkit to use magic as a gateway to learning, helping students build confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking.
Our Funding Goal
The total program budget for the Magic Mentor project is $45,531.
We’re thrilled to share that we’ve already received:
-
A $19,000 grant from the California Arts Council
-
An additional $5,000 private grant from a generous donor
Now, we need your help to raise the remaining $21,531 to bring this program to life!
Your contribution — large or small — will directly fund writing, graphic design, printing, and video production for the Magic Mentor curriculum.
