The mainsail is the largest sail rigged to the mast of a sailing vessel. It is primarily responsible for translating invisible and turbulent wind into forward power. In the same way this works in the physical world, The Mainsail Foundation seeks to convert invisible and turbulent challenges for LGBTQIA+ and Youth of Color into power for these communities.

As founders of The Mainsail Foundation, we have experienced our own challenges as members of the communities we seek to serve. However, we are fortunate to have many sources of power to see us through these challenges, including family, friends, each other, and other strong support networks.
