For me, history is not about memorizing names and places and dates, it’s about understanding why we are who we are and how we came to be. When my wife and I came to Dripping Springs fifteen years ago, the newly restored Pound House farmstead had just opened. For me, it’s this wonderful place where I can go to reconnect with my own rural, agricultural roots. The Pound House reminds me of who I am and just how much easier my life is than that of my great-grandfather who lived on a similar farm.
In this strangely historic time we find ourselves in, the Pound House museum needs your help to keep going. We’ve set aside plans and programs for the year as we try to find the elusive “new normal.” If you can help us meet this modest financial goal, every cent will be appreciated more than you can know. For my part, I will match dollar-for-dollar the first $750 in donations made. Thanks!
