This is the question many Rhode Islanders have asked since March 2020, and will continue to ask through the summer.
On any given night, 325 families and 730 single adults experience homelessness in Rhode Island. But this summer, more will be in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
By joining our Making Waves campaign, you can raise funds to renew our year-round advocacy efforts, preserve our Voices of Homelessness program, and maintain the Coordinated Entry and Homeless Management Information Systems.
Most importantly, your help means another year spent fighting for all Rhode Islanders' right to a safe home.
Together, we can turn the tide on homelessness, will you #MakeWaves with us?
There are two ways you can #MakeWaves to end homelessness in the Ocean State.
1) Sign up to be a leader of peer-to-peer donations to raise money on our behalf among your friends, families, colleagues, and strangers! Participants can sign up on our Givebutter page, create an account, and start sharing their individual fundraising page.
Share your page's link with family & friends and watch as you fulfill your fundraising goals! Every donation given through your personalized link will result in credits towards reaching your own fundraising goal. All proceeds will then be given to the Coalition so we can continuing Making Waves to end and prevent homelessness in Rhode Island.
2) Donate directly to the Coalition, and help us reach our goal! Donations to our Making Waves campaign can be given online through this Givebutter page or checks can be mailed to:

For more than 30 years the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless has worked to end and prevent homelessness in the Ocean State. Our team creates lasting solutions to end homelessness within our four focus areas: Policy & Advocacy, Systems Transformation, Constituent Engagement and Training & Support for Service Providers.
Year-round efforts include our Voices of Homelessness program that empowers individuals with lived-experience to share their stories, regular Homeless System Orientations to provide training to service providers, and policy advocacy campaigns to shape Rhode Island legislation to eliminate barriers placed in front of individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
