Ukrainian people have been heroically standing up to invasion for more than a year, and now have an opportunity to improve the situation at the front lines with help of military equipment assistance from the West. However, many basic support systems to use this advanced equipment in the most efficient way are unfortunately still not available to Ukrainian defenders. These include medium-range (25-50 km) reconnaissance drones, operation trailers, and so on.

The goal of this ongoing phase of the project is to give Ukrainian defenders the reconnaissance drone complex "Sirko" (for more information about the previous phases of this project - please below). This all-Ukrainian made drone system is able to operate at a distance of up to 50 km, and transmit streaming video up to 25 km from the operator. The system includes two drones and a video link antenna, and the purchase comes with one-week training by the manufacturer. The next drones will be provided to aerial reconnaissance units in Territorial Defense Forces and other parts of the Ukrainian army.

Here are some features and specifications of the drone "Sirko" we are fundraising for:

The length of the wing is only 90 cm and at an operating height of 200-300 m Sirko is not visible to a naked eye.
At an operating height of 200-300 meters, Sirko is very quite thanks to the use of an electric motor.
Sirko is 90% made of radio-transparent polymer materials, making it very difficult to detect it by radar
Sirko also can conduct reconnaissance without any radiation. The operator sets the flight route, and the drone takes its course.
Sirko is equipped with an inertial protocol that automatically returns it to the starting point without using GPS.
Sirko’s terrestrial antenna can be removed from the operator at a distance of up to 25-250 meters, for the safety of the operator.

The first reconnaissance drone Sirko has been provided to the 54^th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is famous for their Battle of Svitlodarsk, and are currently operating in the same Donbas region of Eastern Ukraine. This fundraising project was a collaboration between the Sunflower Seeds Ukraine and individual volunteers in other states of the USA.

The goal of the previous phase of this project was to give the Ukrainian defenders a drone operation trailer to increase the effectiveness and simplify operation of their drone in the cold season. The trailer is now used to transport their drone to the deployment location, set it up prior to the launch, and monitor its performance and trajectory during the operation. The goal of the first phase of the project was to give a drone to defenders in Eastern Ukraine, so they can accomplish their new missions in the most effective way. Such reconnaissance drone can take pictures of the surroundings, while flying for dozens of miles up in a couple of hours of time. The collected information is very helpful to Ukrainian defenders in staying informed about the tactical situation at the front lines.
